Pork Chops with Blue Cheese Gravy

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
I'm biased, Love Pork and Love Blue Cheese, even saying blue cheese could probably make liver taste good, thou not really willing to test that theory. Very simple ingredients all worked to make this a superior entree. I served with caramelized red onions and shallots, lemon orzo, and roasted garlic cauliflower.

Easy Sausage Strata

Awesome!!! Made a big pan for my girlfriend's birthday brunch and there were no leftovers. I did add a bit of finely chopped broccoli, onion and ground black pepper for extra flavor and it turned out amazing. Will definetely make again!

Wave Your Flag Cake

I made this for this years past Fourth of July and it came out perfectly. It didn't come out as pretty in slices as I would ahve liked, but I think that was my fault:)

Baklava

Oh wow this was great. I made more fo the sauce than this called for and let it sit over night. It stayed together perfectly and wasn't soppy/soggy.

Mijo's Slow Cooker Shredded Beef

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
I used maybe a pound and a half of chuck roast, cut up, and dumped everything into the pressure cooker, everything except the beer, didn't have so subbed 1 cup homemade beef stock, and used red bell pepper instead. Cut some spices in half but kept garlic and jalapenos the same. I let it marinate for a while cuz we wern't ready to eat, then cooked. Made burritos. Dinner went like this, take a bite say "This is SO GOOD." Repeat after every bite.

Beef, Burgundy Style

Just not enough superlatives for this one!!!! I cut up a boneless chuck roast, used 16 oz of mushrooms and popped it all in the pressure cooker. 25 minutes later out came perfection!

Spaghetti Italian

Hearty, esay and quick recipe. Gave it 4 stars because the original sauce was a bit too acidic for my taste. I simply added 1 tbsp sugar and the problem was solved.

Sweet and Sour Sauce I

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
This was pretty good. The consistancy was perfect. I thought it was too sweet and not sour enough. Next time I'll follow the advice of some other reviews and use pinapple juice instead of water. Maybe a touch less sugar, but not much.

Pastry Cream for Pies

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2008
This is a wonderful filling! It tastes just like pudding and is very easy to make! The only thing that I changed was that I only mixed the milk with the other mixture about halfway and then poured the whole thing into the sauce pan I was already using. I used a whisk and mixed it well, continuing to do so on a very low heat until properly thickened. I then finished the recipe as stated. I used this in empanadas and it was awesome! I'll definitely use it again!
